Firmware Update on NOKIA Asha 205 If you have forgotten the security password for your device and there is no other way to perform the hard reset you should try uploading a new firmware on your NOKIA Asha 205. That way you will restore the default password but also lose all data on your device. In the following tutorial we present step by step how to perform such an operation. Please be aware of the consequences and risks that may be result from this process. Phoenix Service Software is a useful flashing which you may use on your NOKIAAsha 205 when It is bricked - which means it is not starting up or it is stuck at some particular moment eg. Nokia logo Your previous software/firmware update has somehow been interrupted and you cannot turn it on right now. You cannot perform a hard reset operation. Your device is in "restart loop" it is restarting over and over again The normal flashing is not possible on your device. Remember a few things The battery in your device should be fully charged and the applications on your computer should be shut down. Always use the appropriate and possibly the newest firmware on your device. What is also VERY IMPORTANT to have in mind is that by performing these steps below you will loose your device's warrenty. Make sure your battery is charged and your firmware is appropriate. Afterwards dowload the Phoenix software. You can find it here Phoenix_Service_Software Make sure you have the other equipment USB cable for your phone, Nokia Connectivity Cable Drivers, software files for your phone. For a precaution back up your files and take out any microSD cards. Connect your phone to your PC using the Micro USB cable. When your computer detects the new device, select the PC Suite or OVI Suite on your phone. Open Phoenix program and move the option "No connections" to the USB which detects your phone. Now choose "Open Product" and pick the type of your device in the pictures below we will use RM-645. Finally confirm by clicking OK. Go to "Flashing" and choose "Firmware update"; find in "product code" your desired code and click OK when asked to confirm. Plug in your dead device and click SW Reset or Refurbish. The firmware update instruction should pop up as soon as your computer sees your phone. If it does not happen, disconnect your device and press the Power button for a few seconds. As soon as you feel your phone vibrate, realese the power key and quickly connect it back again. You should be able to see the flashing start now. What can go wrong If the Nokia BEST does not automatically load the firmware files in the empty brackets you can do two things If the Nokia BEST disconnects your device while flashing the device and you are asked to connect the phone, on the selected interface do the following sequence Replace the battery from your phone for a moment. Disconnect your phone from the computer. Turn on the phone by holding the power button. Connect your phone to the computer and choose PC Suite or Ovi Suite. Click on the Flash icon and the operation will be continuing If your phone while flashing switches on and does not want to turn back on, do the following steps Disconnect and connect your phone to the computer into PC Suite or Ovi Suite. In the flashing section choose Dead Mode and click on FLASH. If the Nokia BEST asks you to press the power button on your phone, do it immediately.

Sebelum melangkah ke prosesnya saya akan menceritakan terlebih dahulu tentang Flashing HP. Kalian tentu sudah mengenal tentang flash HP ini apa lagi jika kalian adalah seorang teknisi HP, pasti jauh lebih paham tentang ini. Namun, bagi yang masih awam mungkin ini akan bermanfaat jika nanti ingin mencoba untuk memFLASH HP sendiri ketika menemukan adanya masalah. Kenapa HP perlu di FLASH? Ada beberapa penyebab HP yang sudah saatnya untuk dilakukan flash. Misalnya, HP kalian tiba-tiba hang, sering restart sendiri, aplikasi yang corrupt, tidak ada sertifikat untuk download aplikasi, jika dihidupkan hanya sampai pada screen logo kemudian mati lagi, atau bahkan mati total. Masalah tersebut cenderung berada pada softwarenya yang mengalami corrupt dan perlu segera diperbaiki. Jika yang jadi masalahnya adalah hardware, itu lain lagi ceritanya. Saya hanya akan menyampaikan pengalaman sendiri dalam FLASHING HP khususnya Nokia karena kebetulan HP saya nokia dan kedapatan mengalami masalah seperti yang disebutkan sebelumnya. Langsung saja ke topik utama! Persiapan peralatan yang diperlukan Firmware HP nokia, sesuaikan dengan type HP Nokia masing-masing. Download via Google. Nokia Suite/PC Suite/ OVI Suite untuk menghubungkan HP dengan PC. Download Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver disini Download Nokia Flashing Cable Driver disini. Software BEST BB5 Easy Service Tool saya menggunakan BEST bisa download disini. Cara Flashing Siapkan HP yang akan di FLASH, usahakan baterai penuh. Install Nokia Suite/PC Suite/ OVI Suite. Jika sudah ada abaikan langkah ini. Kemudian install juga Software BEST BB5 Easy Service Tool. Ekstract Firmware HP yang sudah di download tadi dan simpan pada directory instalasi Nokia suite/PC Suite/ OVI Suite pada folder Product, jika belum ada foldernya buat aja sendiri. Beri nama folder sesuai dengan tipe HPnya untuk memudahkan dalam mencari file firmwarenya. Jika semua sudah siap. Buka Software BEST BB5 Easy Service Tool. Berikut tampilan awal BEST. Kemudian tancapkan USB Cable dari HP ke PC. Perhatikan akan ada perubahan pada Software BEST berikut ini. Jika koneksi HP tersambung dengan benar maka akan terdeteksi oleh BEST. Lihat tanda yang ada pada gambar di atas. Kemudian Klik Tab Menu Flashing lalu masukan masukkan firmware HP yang sudah di ekstrak tadi. Lihat gambar dibawah ini. Pada menu Flashing ini tandai dengan menceklis Use INI kemudian pilih model firmwarenya. Contoh yang saya gunakan adalah Nokia X2-02 dengan model RM-694 setelah dipilih secara otomatis firmwarenya akan muncul seperti pada yang ditunjukkan nomor 4 pada gambar di atas. Jika akan memasukan secara manual klik saja kotak MCU kemudian browse file MCUnya. Lakukan hal yang sama ketika memasukkan file PPM dan CNT. Pada sub menu Flash Settings dan After Flash centang sesuai keperluan flashing yang akan dilakukan. Penjelasannya adalah DeadMode Jika HP dalam kondisi mati saat flashing. Downgrade jika akan memflash HP dengan firmware versi dibawahnya. Backup untuk membackup firmware HP yang akan diflash jika kemungkinan gagal firmware dapat dikembalikan lagi. Chk/Read mengecek HP setelah di FLASH. Set Normal mengembalikan HP ke setingan normal setelah diFLASH. Change PC ResetLT SetFactory mengembalikan HP pada settingan pabrik setelah diFLASH. *Catatan Pada pilihan ChangePC dan ResetLT kosongkan saja jika belum tahu fungsinya. 13. Pada tab Flash Mode Settings pilih sesuai keperluan. Jika akan flashing full maka pilih FullFlash. 14. Terakhir klik FLASH. HP akan mati dan proses flashing akan berjalan seperti gambar berikut ini 15. Bar warna kuning menandakan firmware HP sedang dalam proses penghapusan dan kemudian akan diganti dengan firmware yang tadi di download. Perhatikan bar warna hijau pada gambar berikut ini 16. Tunggu hingga proses FLASHING selesai. Usahakan jangan melakukan aktivitas komputer yang lain agar prosesnya lancar. Jika telah selesai maka akan muncul informasi seperti ini 17. Setelah selesai maka HP akan restart dalam model local, cabut baterai HP dan hidupkan lagi. 18. Selamat! HP nokia telah kembali seperti semula. Hati-hati dalam melakukan FLASHING HP, karena jika mengalami kesalahan dalam proses akan menyebabkan HP mati total. Saya tidak bertanggung jawab atas hal itu he he he ….
